MacGyver season 3 filming is officially underway in Atlanta!
This glorious news has been confirmed by multiple different parties, but you can see some further proof via both star Lucas Till and also George Eads below on Instagram. Eads claims that he has read the first five episodes of the season, so he has got a pretty good idea as to precisely what is coming up next. Hopefully, it’s a little bit more of everything that you love from the CBS series, whether it be some more surprises twists or just getting a chance to see the likes of Mac and Jack going undercover to solve some problems all over the world — with Bozer, Riley, and Matty finding some rather-unique help along the way. (Yes, we’re well aware that Mac would need to officially team up with the rest of the group again, but how long are you really going to keep him separate from everyone else? This particular iteration of MacGyver is in part great due to the ensemble.
As for what else could be coming, it feels like Oversight could be more involved now that Mac knows that his father is out there. Beyond that, if Leanna sticks around there could be some interesting stuff with her and Bozer romantically. Basically, there are about a billion or so different things that the MacGyver writers could do, but you will have to wait most likely until the fall in order to figure out precisely what they decide. We just hope that it combines humor and action much in the same way that we saw it over the first two seasons.
