Big Brother 20 live feed spoilers: A plan falls apart (day 15, morning)

Winston Hines

Happy Fourth of July! Life in the Big Brother 20 house is reasonably quiet so far this morning, but in just over one day’s time we will have a chance to see the first eviction of the season.

At one point yesterday, it actually did feel as though there was a legitimate chance in order to keep Sam in the game, mostly just because you had people like Kaitlyn who could, at least in theory, be a person to flip on her former allies Faysal and also Swaggy C.

However, it already seems as though that plan is on the rocks for a multitude of different reasons. One of the common fears that you see in almost every season of Big Brother is exposing yourself, or your alliance, a little bit too quickly. That is the fear that Winston and Brett currently seem to have. They are worried about the fact that the house could be split too early in the season, and they are not entirely sure that it is worth doing just for the sake of saving Sam. As a matter of fact, they feel a little more confident about the idea of keeping Steve around. They feel as though they can trust him, and he is not a threat in a physical sense.

Is this the right move for them? It’s hard to see exactly how it is. For someone like Steve, he may be able to figure out without too much effort that Winston and Brett were debating getting rid of him for most of the week, and the perception around the house is that it is pretty split already. While this is a decent superficial moved for the likes of Brett and Winston to make, the reality here is that they may just be protecting themselves 10% from Swaggy C’s alliance. if someone on that side of the house ends up winning HoH, there’s still a pretty good chance that they will come after them. They are just physical guys, and that makes them an almost automatic threat.

Probably the biggest flaw in both Winston and Brett as game0players is that they are both too way too obvious. If you think back to the Brigade, one of the things that made them so effective as an alliance was that they constantly intermingled with other people, and there wasn’t always an immediate assumption that they were just working together. These guys have not figured that out, and their Alliance is as clear as day. If you want to be with one of them, you have to be with the other as well.

So, barring some sort of miracle in the house, it does look as though Sam will need her power in order to stick around in the game one more week.
