Hawaii Five-0 season 9: How does series resolve cliffhanger with Adam?
Do we think that Adam was framed? We absolutely think so, largely because much of the evidence that was found against him just seems to be A) far too convenient and B) Adam’s just an easy target. When you have a criminal history and when you’ve had the upbringing that Adam does, he’s just the sort of character who people can pin things on easily. With what he was mixed up in trying to stop Hawaii’s organized crime, you’ve also got plenty of people very much interested in trying to nail him to a wall.
But how does the team resolve this, even if they believe Adam is innocent? We would like to see the investigation kick off early in the premiere and, as a whole, this feels like the sort of storyline that could play, off and on, throughout the first half of the season. Stopping organized crime isn’t exactly something that happens within a single episode. It takes time, and we absolutely anticipate that this is going to be the case here, as well.
Beyond that, the show may very well need to move along this Adam storyline as a slow burn given that Ian Anthony Dale may not be available for the start of season 9. Dale is a regular on Salvation, and his schedule over there is one of the reasons why he was available for only a certain percentage of season 8. If that show continues and he is a part of all of season 2, we imagine a similar situation taking shape with season 9. The Five-0 task force can spend a little bit of time in the early going building a case against Adam, but it may take some time before we actually see him in the flesh.
