Outlander season 4 filming in the home stretch with long days

Outlander season 4 filming is currently very much in the final stretch, so much so that almost every day has extra weight to it. We’re waiting for the days in which certain cast members wrap and when everyone gets a chance to celebrate! We know that many of the show’s producers are in Scotland already preparing for the end, and that some of the cast are working some rather-long days in order to make it happen.

For Sophie Skelton, today seems to have been a long day of filming during the day — a nice contrast from some of the night shoots that happened for much of this past week. As of late the series has tried to keep their production under wraps as much as possible — while they continue to work out on location, it’s in a much more secluded and private location than usual. That’s in contrast to some of the work that they did earlier this year at public parks, where there were some people able to snap a few photos featuring the cast in costume. Things are clearly a little bit different this time around and little teases from the cast are what we have to go on.

While we wish we could say that Sophie wrapping at nighttime meant a reprieve for everyone is coming in the night-shoot department, there is no guarantee of that. Brianna may just be featured in some different scenes than some other characters at this point late in the season. Everyone will come together though, for everything from conventions to wrap parties over the course of the coming weeks before splitting off and doing some other projects. Skelton has been particularly busy balancing her time on Outlander with a number of film roles, and we’re curious to see what will await her during the hiatus. Heck, even during production as of late she’s been making some appearances over at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
