Claws season 2 episode 4 preview: Quiet Ann’s brother and other surprises

What’s coming up on Claws season 2 episode 4? This is an installment that features a number of important storylines, but for Desna in particular, pleasing Matilde is pretty high on the list. Gregory Ruval’s mother proved herself to be a rather-big handful on this past episode, injecting herself into every single aspect of her son’s life and even freaking out over the tiniest bit of PDA. Given that her son’s going to start taking care of her in a little more of a hands-on way, Desna is realizing that she is going to have to learn to get along with her. That’s not going to be easy — she’s not the easiest woman to get along with or the most-willing to hear out other people — but it’s clearly important to Gregory and therefore, it’s important to her.

We expect a lot of comedy to come out of this story, but elsewhere within this episode, be prepared for a few more emotional revelations, in particular with Quiet Ann and a surprise visitor in the form of her brother. That’s an opportunity for these two to hash out some of their old problems, but it’s probably going to be easier said than done.

Desna (Niecy Nash), in an attempt to cozy up to Matilde, (Sheryl Lee Ralph) Ruval’s (Jimmy Jean-Louis) mother, puts together a spa day for her and a couple of young girls from his charity. Meanwhile, Quiet Ann (Judy Reyes) gets a surprise visit from her brother, who convinces her to attend a family dinner.

What’s going to happen with Zlata and her empire? This is the question we want answered the most, but unfortunately, it’s also the question not addressed here. Fingers crossed that we get a better sense as to both her endgame and plans for Desna, given that this is hanging over season 2 at the moment.
