Jack Ryan season 1 trailer: New look at John Krasinski – Amazon series
“What was so great about the Harrison Ford movies was that they were about an everyman hero. He was a guy who wasn’t a superhero. He was heroic, but he was vulnerable. He wasn’t afraid to be scared. He was a regular man and a hero.”
The trailer begins with Ryan in the mist of his first interrogation that seems to be going smoothly until Ryan is beaten up and bloody holding a detonator that will blow if Ryan takes his hand off it. The trailer then flashes to an outdoor party where a woman is asking him what he does for a living, to which he answers that he sits behind a desk all day. Just then a helicopter lands right in the middle of the party and tells Ryan that he is needed.
This beginning sequence intrigued us right from the start because he might be someone who sits behind a desk, but he is also someone who is going to be in the field. You can tell when the helicopter lands that he is both taken back and unfazed by the interruption and because of that, we want to know how that is possible. We want to know the mystery behind this character.
From here the trailer shows us Ryan is brought in to evaluate a high-level target who is killing people in a different country. As a result, Ryan is sent to Yemen, which is a surprise to him because he believes he is just an analyst. This is where we can assume is the beginning of his field career and the end of him sitting behind a desk. From here we are shown images from episodes and how Ryan will be apart of numerous missions to track down targets that are a danger to the world. The trailer definitely did its job and lured us into the next chapter of the Jack Ryan series. Overall, we are excited for this new Amazon Prime original series.
