Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 9 return date speculation
For starters, obviously you want to plan ahead, clear your schedule, or at least know when you want to re-watch tonight’s episode so that everything is fresh entering the second half of the season. Beyond just that, you may just want to know more information in terms of when a trailer could be coming out (hopefully at San Diego Comic-Con) or other key information.
It’s also simply easy to figure out that you could want a Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 9 return date on the strength of the series itself at the moment. We considered season 3 of the series to be a tremendous leap forward in quality, really to the point of this show out-matching The Walking Dead proper. Now, we don’t even think it’s close. Fear the Walking Dead season 4 is one of the best seasons we’ve seen of the franchise to date, largely because of the fact that the writers aren’t simply thinking of this as a zombie show and catering it to zombie fans. It’s a drama about devastation, recovery, and trauma with zombies thrown in there. It’s about the family you have and the family you find. In playing around with time and creating more mystery, the writers have been able to develop a sense of real intrigue. Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian B. Goldberg likely learned a lot about multiple timelines from Once Upon a Time, but in bringing it over to this show they’ve helped to perfect it.
Odds are, the Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 9 return date will be later this summer, potentially at some point a couple of months from now. The sensible reason to believe this is because AMC should want to get most of this season done before the flagship show returns in October. If they start in late August and have either a two-hour midseason premiere or finale (theoretically, they could do both), they should be able to do that without a problem.
Hopefully, at some point before the series returns they also choose to renew it for a season 5. Commercially this season has been reasonably successful, and we do think at this point that the majority of viewers watching are going to stick around year-to-year. This is something that we were not exactly seeing back during the early days of the show. (Imagine if the quality was there then like it is now — this would probably be one of the top-rated shows on cable!)
