Good Trouble premiere date speculation for The Fosters spin-off
Want to know some of the first Good Trouble premiere-date speculation? We’ve got that for you within this piece!
Earlier this week after the series finale of The Fosters, Freeform offered up a new teaser featuring the next chapter for Callie and Mariana. As you may have heard, Cierra Ramirez and Maia Mitchell are coming back for a new series that will document them living and working in Los Angeles while trying to enact some sort of change on a larger scale. There’s a lot of potential for this to be a fantastic, super-relevant series … but you are going to have to wait for a while in order to see it. After all, right now a Good Trouble premiere date is not going to be until 2019.
Given that the spin-off is set to film this summer, there’s a chance that it could be available to start airing early next year and that would be ideal — we liked having The Fosters in January and it makes sense to also have the show premiere at around the same time, as well. Plus, we think it is a little bit more challenging to start the show off in the spring when there’s more going on and it’s harder to get viewers hooked on a new show. That’s probably even more true for a show like Good Trouble, given that it needs to find some more viewers in addition to people who already watched The Fosters in order to be successful. After all, it’s hard to imagine that every single viewer of the original series is going to also check out the new show. They do need to figure out a way to recruit a few more new viewers along the way, as well.
Hopefully, a formal premiere date for Good Trouble should be available later this fall.
