The Good Fight season 3 premiere date hopes over on CBS All Access
Before we say too much else where, it should really go without saying that we want to see The Good Fight season 3 — after all, why wouldn’t we? The second season has been all sorts of fantastic, masterfully weaving between great legal drama and present-day issues. It’s one of those great shows that, for one reason or another, isn’t getting a ton of attention. Maybe a part of that is just because of the fact that it’s airing on CBS All Access, a service that not enough people are checking out other than when Big Brother is on. Or, the subject matter is too political for some.
Either way, we wish that there were more people out there discussing the second season — we’re just glad that there is officially a third. That was first confirmed earlier this year. While the streaming service doesn’t publicly release viewership data, we assume that this is at least a moderate success in relative terms. Given that CBS All Access is a subscriber-based service, the network doesn’t really need anywhere near as many viewers for this show as they did The Good Wife proper.
As for when new episodes will premiere, the easy answer to that is “some point in 2019.” We imagine that the episode order will be about the same and on some level, not too much will be different about the show. When you’ve figured out a format that really works for you, why would you want to change it? The same goes for this cast, especially Christine Baranski at the center of everything. Diane Lockhart is feeling more and more like a seminal character, one of television’s best from the past ten or so years.
