Supergirl season 3 episode 16 video: Who wants to kill Pestilence?

Supergirl season 3 episode 16 is coming onto The CW Monday night and based on some of the latest information that is out there all about it, at the center of this story is going to be a pretty-epic moral dilemma. Should Kara and the rest of the DEO team kill Pestilence, or should they figure out a different way to stop the Worldkiller?

Through what happened to the pigeons at the end of this past episode, we’ve already gotten a chance to see a little bit of what this character could do. In the video below, show executive producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller discuss a little bit further precisely what could be coming up as the hunt for Pestilence begins and there are some divided opinions as to what should be done. For Imra (pictured above), the decision is pretty clear — kill Pestilence at all costs. she knows the blight that she brings about in the future and with that in mind, she desperately wants to do anything within her power in order to ensure that there is no more harm done to anyone.

Yet, for Kara it’s pretty darn hard to be okay with killing anyone — that’s just not wired into this character’s DNA and she is almost always going to try to think up an alternate route in order to ensure that no more lives are lost. She wants to ensure everyone can be okay without compromising morality in the process.

While Kara and Imra may be at odds when it comes to the Pestilence problem early on within this episode, we certainly hope that as time goes by, we get a little bit closer to some sort of clear solution. After all, we do think that this is one of the only ways that some of these characters are going to be able to move forward is together. Dividing up the forces at the DEO probably means that everyone is going to die. Not only do these characters have to worry about Pestilence, but there are also two other Worldkillers in Reign and Purity to be concerned about. (As of right now, Kara doesn’t know that Sam is Reign or is being held by Lena Luthor.)
