Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 23 preview: Meet Eddie’s veterinarian!

There are a few things that we didn’t expect to be writing about in Hawaii Five-0 season 8, and Eddie’s veterinarian is one of them. For starters, we like to think that Eddie is magically immortal and will be with Steve McGarrett forever — also, stories about sick dogs are risky since they can be a massive bummer. Hopefully, Eddie’s not in some sort of major trouble. (We’ve all been much more conditioned to deal with sick humans on TV. Sick dogs? Not so much!)

Here is the good news — we’ve got a great actor in Will Sasso coming on board as the vet, who will hopefully keep things light and fun.

“Ka Hana a ka mākua, o ka hana no ia a keiki.” – McGarrett and Five-0 take on the mob when a former boss is killed and Junior’s friend Cammy Lin (Cindy Chu) is on the run after witnessing the hit, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, May 4 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Will Sasso guest stars as Eddie’s veterinarian.

(“Ka Hana a ka mākua, o ka hana no ia a keiki.” is Hawaiian for “What Parents Do, Children Will Do.”)

This episode, as you can see, is also going to be a chance to learn a little more about Junior, and that excites us given that every other little thing we’ve learned about Junior so far has been fantastic. The story regarding his estranged father and him being trapped recently was phenomenal, especially when it comes to the performance of Beulah Koale. The more of that we get the happier we’re going to be, and we also know that in episode 24 Junior is also going to get a great story courtesy of him and his former SEAL unit working alongside McGarrett. That’s an episode that also is giving Alex O’Loughlin a “Story By” credit, further proof that he is really doing all sorts of things this season.
