Siren episode 7 preview: ‘Dead in the Water’
On this past episode, we learned that the government is ready to start capturing the sirens. It seems as though the sirens are already in huge trouble — there’s no real food for them after the government allowed people to fish the ocean dry and it’s all part of a bigger plan to bring the sirens to the surface for capture and study. Ben has tried to get Decker to call off the operation, but when he made the call the government basically told him a flat “no.” The operation is seemingly underway and that can be described with one simple word: Devastating. We’re going to have to see some of these characters find a way to stop this from happening — with hopefully a little bit of help along the way.
Of course, we’re also curious just what this means for the expansion of this universe. How many other Siren characters are out there, especially in terms of people that we’re going to meet? We’re excited to see and learn more and explore the mythology that the show is setting up for us.
At the moment, it does feel fairly clear that we’re not going to be seeing Siren go off the air for a rather long time, especially given the fact that the ratings are great! They’ve promoted the show well and we definitely think that there is going to be some enthusiasm around getting to see whatever comes up next.
