Quantico season 3 spoilers: Priyanka Chopra teases global story ahead
Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, series star Priyanka Chopra discusses some of what makes this season different — it has a very global feel to it and with that, there are going to be boots on the ground and a wide array of interesting missions:
“We sort of ditched the flashbacks even halfway through [Season 2] when the two timelines merged, but this season is very interesting to me. First of all, we’re very global this year. The storyline goes to Italy. It goes to Ireland and New York City. At the same time, every episode has a case which buttons at the end of every episode. It usually deals with some other country in the world. It’s a very global sort of take on the show. The five people who have come back from the cast, which is Blair, me, Russell, Jake and Johanna — what happens with our characters as the new other characters come into the show as well is very interesting to me.”
We just hope that with season 3, there are plenty of viewers who come on board and get a chance to check out a really new dimension for this series. The first two seasons, after all, were twisted and very entertaining at times, but if you want to get new viewers you have to find a way to ensure that anything that happens now isn’t altogether dependent on what we saw there. We do think that moving more to a semi-procedural format could help Quantico more, just because of the fact that this is a network show where viewers are not necessarily loyal week in and week out. We’re excited to see the story, just as we are also very much excited to see how it performs and if it can reverse the ratings decline of the past couple of seasons.
