The 100 season 5 spoilers: Show boss on potential Clarke reunion
Yet, will it be exactly what you will expect? Not necessarily, largely because of the fact that she’s changed so much since she was last with them. Things are different than they were and Clarke especially has many different responsibilities from what she once had — including Madi, who she is caring for within her new Eden-like environment that she now finds herself in.
Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, executive producer Jason Rothenberg had the following to say on the subject of what Clarke is going to feel in the event that she does have an opportunity to reunite with some of her old friends once more after so much time away:
It will certainly be emotionally powerful to get back with the people that she loves. There is a certain degree of you can’t go home again-ness, if that’s a thing. I just made it up. For sure, she now has a priority of one. Madi is now her priority and we will, as the season unfolds, realize that if a situation arises where there’s one thing that’s good for Madi and another thing that’s good for everybody else, then there will be problems. Clarke is going to be torn in ways that she’s never been torn before. That will be part of the drama of this season for sure.
Suffice it to say, we don’t think that Clarke is necessarily going to be getting along with all of the other characters in the way in which you would expect. She had a different relationship with Madi and, in turn, a different relationship with the land. Some of these gaps can be breached but it may take a certain degree of time and effort.
