Outlander season 4: Night shoots, a convention, and more
For now, though, let’s kick things off with what is apparently happening at the moment in Scotland — night shoots! That was seemingly confirmed by Sophie Skelton on Twitter as season 4 production is still going strong. There is no real set schedule for filming, so obviously things happen whenever they are going to happen.
It is because of these particular night shoots that Skelton regrettably had to cancel her appearance this weekend at the Sasnak City Convention in Kansas City. That is where a number of other Outlander actors will be present, including the likes of Steven Cree (Ian Murray), John Bell (Young Ian), Gary Lewis (Colum MacKenzie), Cesar Domboy (older Fergus), Lauren Lyle (Marsali), Grant O’Rourke (Rupert), Graham McTavish (Dougal), and a surprise guest in Ed Speleers! The latter name is one that really catches our eye since it’s not often that an actor attends a convention without appearing on the show first. This one should be especially interesting given that there’s probably not much he can say about playing Stephen Bonnet as of yet (other than, of course, that he’s an infamous character from the books).
If you want more information about the convention, you can get that at its official website. We’re not there in person, but if there are any notable headlines, we will be sure to let you know.

A little bit of fun…
That is coming to you today courtesy of Matthew B. Roberts in his version of Maril Davis’ classic “Heard on Set” Twitter tease. It’s very well possible that this is just a random bit of blooper dialogue and not something actually in the show, but it’s certainly worth a laugh, either way. We’ll take whatever tease we can as the Droughtlander continues.
