SWAT episode 18 preview: Hondo’s father takes center stage

SWAT episode 18 is going to be coming onto CBS in one week’s time and based on some early information, it seems as though Hondo’s father is going to be a huge part of the story. We’re going to get a chance to see this character in the spotlight, and, to go along with that, learn a little bit more about what their relationship really is. This is going to be a huge installment for the show and hopefully, also get an incredible performance from Shemar Moore in the process. (We’ve seen some before this season and we’ve got a feeling that there are going to be even more coming up in the future.)

“Patrol” – Hondo confronts his long-held resentment towards his ailing father, Daniel Harrelson, Sr. (Obba Babatundé), when he and his sister, Briana (Gabrielle Dennis), try to convince their dad he’s no longer well enough to live alone. Also, when the SWAT team works as patrol officers for a day, Chris is partnered with Mumford, who intends to make her a surprising offer, on S.W.A.T., Thursday, April 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

We know that there’s going to be some emotional stories when it comes to Hondo in this episode, but rest assured that there’s also going to be some fun, interesting character dynamics within this story, as well. Pairing up Chris with Mumford and putting them on patrol is a way to shake things up. In some ways, maybe you can argue that this is a way for some of the various characters to hone some skills in some interest, intriguing ways.
