Timeless season 2 at WonderCon: Character backstory and ‘Hollywoodland’

Timeless season 2 key art

On Saturday many select members of the Timeless season 2 cast were at WonderCon in Anaheim and what came alongside that was pretty simple: A lovely celebration for much of the fandom!

Let’s start with this: Fans in attendance had a chance to check out tomorrow night’s new episode “Hollywoodland” and the reaction, to the surprise of no one, was overwhelmingly positive. We’re not going to give anything away there, but we do think that most of the previews that are out there do a more than favorable job setting up what’s coming over the course of the episode. There’s romance, there’s drama, and there’s some Old Hollywood fun.

So what’s coming up on the other side of this episode? One of the biggest things of note is backstory. You are going to find out more about virtually every member of the main cast, whether it be Rufus or someone working behind the scenes with the team like Agent Christopher and Connor Mason. There are going to be opportunities to understand motives better and, of course, chances to get to know and care for some of these characters.

While Matt Lanter (Wyatt) was not at the panel, it seems as though he had a pretty good reason for it — he was working overnight to finish the second season! That is something that he personally confirmed in a new post on Twitter below. That had to be an exhausting shoot overnight, but now he and the rest of the cast can relax … even though nobody knows at the moment precisely what is going to happen in terms of a season 3. (Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to get some good news on the future of the show before May … but we don’t want to set the bar of hope too high.)

In general, the panel was a funny, engaging one — you can get one more glimpse at it below.
