Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17 video: The killer clown origin story

Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17

When Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17 comes on CBS Wednesday night, killer clowns are going to be one of the major conversation topics at the center of it — and for perfectly good reason. After all, a clown could very well be the UnSub at the center of the latest case!

In the new video sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below for “The Capilanos,” you get a pretty good look into precisely what we are talking about here as the BAU is taking on an evil, murderous clown who has nothing but the darkest of intentions for his victims. It appears as though in the case of the victim examined by the team here, they were already dead before the face mutilation began. Whoever this killer is feels the need to augment the bodies after the fact, which serves as their main motivating factor just as much as the art of killing itself.

It definitely seems upon looking at this sneak peek that we’ve got one of the most sinister cases of the entire season here, and especially one of the creepiest. Thanks in part to the movie IT we’re not sure that murderous clowns have ever been more popular than they are today — one of the things that this episode could ultimately showcase is what leads to this clown becoming this way and if there was ever a time they got into the act of clowning with a different intention in mind.

Given that the Linda Barnes saga seems to now be in the rear-view mirror, it feels like the BAU can focus in now entirely on the new case at hand — which is good given that this one really is going to merit their undivided attention perhaps more so than almost any other that they’ve taken on so far this season.
