Outlander season 4: When could the Jamie – Brianna meeting take place?

Leading up to the start of Outlander season 3, much of the conversation was around a very specific scene in the epic Print Shop reunion for Jamie and Claire. Moving into season 4, meanwhile, there is another particular moment that many fans are looking forward to: Getting a chance to see the Jamie – Brianna meeting for the first time. It’s a moment that is decades in the making and at one point didn’t even feel possible.

Given that this is such an iconic moment within the book series, it shouldn’t come as a shock that the cast and crew are willingly discussing it publicly — they know that it’s a subject of great public interest and, in turn, it should lead to a rather nice ratings boost whenever it does happen. After all, the Print Shop episode “A. Malcolm” is the most-watched episode in the history of the series.

So when will the Jamie – Brianna meeting actually happen? While there is no 100% confirmed episode right now, we can bring you a reasonably good approximation: More than likely, it’s within the episodes 8-10 range. The main evidence of this is Sam Heughan saying this weekend (per Variety) that he will begin filming this big scene at some point in the near future.

Let’s add further now to the episodes 8-10 theory. It was a month ago that the show was at its halfway point of filming, and that typically means somewhere within episode 7. It’s reasonable to think that they’ve moved on past that at the moment, but also that they haven’t quite made it to the final three episodes given that there are roughly three months until filming officially concludes.

Ultimately, realize that the Jamie – Brianna meeting is not going to be happening anywhere near as early on in the season as the Print Shop, but there should be plenty of other stuff that should capture your imagination before then. After all, you have Brianna heading back into the past in the first place, and to go along with that Jamie and Claire starting over in America. You also have the arrival of new characters like Aunt Jocasta.

Provided that Outlander season 4 premieres in early-to-mid-September, we anticipate at the moment that we’re going to end up seeing Jamie’s first scene with Brianna at some point in November. Obviously, once more details come in we’ll be sure to let you know.
