For Shaun, we can see where some of the disconnect could come with this story. He is going to look to help out his patient by making sure that they stay healthy. He doesn’t fully understand how important it could be for someone to smile and some of the mental health benefits that could come along with that. Much of The Good Doctor is about Shaun understand situations as something more than just black and white. Often they are complicated and there are things that he can and will learn from going through different experiences.
As for the other storyline that is happening within this episode, are we actually going to see Morgan Reznick getting along with her other doctors? Is she going to realize that this is just as important as being competitive? Time will tell…
