Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 18 return date: The road ahead
The first thing that you should know right now is simple: There is no new episode airing on CBS next week. The reasoning for that is also pretty simple: NCAA basketball. The tournament is going to cause the show to take a break for a couple of weeks, but when it comes back on March 30 we could be seeing the beginning of the show’s home stretch.
There isn’t too much available about some of the upcoming episodes (other than that Alex O’Loughlin is directing the March 30 installment), so for now let’s map out some of how the remaining story is going to go. There are eight more episodes still to air beyond tonight, and those could air over the course of seven weeks. Given that this show has two more episodes in its run than timeslot companion MacGyver, don’t be altogether shocked if the final episodes air as a two-hour finale on either May 11 or May 18. If there is no break from May 30 until the end of the season, May 11 is likely going to be the finale date.
At some point before then, be prepared to also see the end of Adam’s run on the show. Because of Ian Anthony Dale’s commitments to another series in Salvation, he isn’t able to stick around for the remainder of the season. We’re just lucky, all things considered, that Hawaii Five-0 was able to hold on to the actor however long that they were. He’s brought a lot of action-hero charm to the part already and we’re grateful for that. There will be some high-octane episodes leading up to the finale, and if there is one thing that we have come to know about Peter Lenkov series over time it’s this: They have a tendency to end in a rather big way. We therefore anticipate that the same exact thing is going to happen here.
What do you want to see take place when Hawaii Five-0 returns to the air, and are you bummed out in some way to be on such a long hiatus from the end of tonight’s episode until the end of the month? Share in the comments!
