Deception series premiere synopsis released by ABC
“Pilot” – When his career is ruined by scandal, superstar magician Cameron Black has only one place to turn to practice his art of deception, influence and illusion – the FBI. Using every trick in the book and inventing new ones, he will help the government catch the world’s most elusive criminals while staging the biggest illusions of his career, on “Deception,” premiering SUNDAY, MARCH 11(10:01–11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.
From the looks of things, we have a new series to check out. As we have mentioned before, the concept of this show sounds strangely familiar to ABC’s Castle and because we were huge fans of the show we will be tuning in. It may just be the show to replace that hole in our hearts left by the long-running crime procedural. The synopsis gives us the impression that the premise of the show will be established nicely and that it will give away to what we can expect for the rest of Season 1.
The characters seem very relatable and ones that we can get behind and root for. Our main character, Cameron Black, is a magician and that’s not a character we see too often on television, which this should be interesting watch. A magician is all about the illusion and how they make their trick work so keeping this in mind, we are guessing this will be something Black will have to battle over the course of the season.
So Black will be helping the FBI solve crimes which is great; what we love about this is a magician has a different perspective than the rest of us have. In addition, the crimes that this show can play can be more unique and strange because Black needs to use his magician perspective to get into the mind of the criminal that is trying to trick the FBI. The dynamic of the show has been done before, but there’s room to spread out and play with and really deliver some unique stories.
Overall, tune in Sunday, March 11 to check it out. For more news related to Deception, be sure to visit this link.
