Homeland season 7 episode 5 preview: Is Keane getting desperate?

Homeland season 7 episode 5

Homeland season 7 episode 5, which is airing on Showtime next week, may be doing everything within its power to achieve one simple goal: Watching the world around President Keane start to crumble. This is something that is based in part on real-life events, and we’re going to see just how a President reacts to this show when she gets too isolated and stops listening to many voices of reason. That’s a difficult thing to try and turn around.

Below, the Homeland season 7 episode 5 synopsis below offers up some other insight as to what is coming up next:

Carrie puts a plan in motion. Saul visits a source. Keane makes a desperate plea.

Of course, this is going to be a very interesting story that is coming up because we’re now a third of the way through the story of this season. That, at least in Showtime terms, is when much of the foundation is set. From here, we move things over to the next order of business — trying to figure out how many of these different pieces start to align and come together. We don’t exactly think that things are going to be slowing down, and that means that every single character has to be prepared for their own plans to start to crumble. That includes Carrie — if she was successful in her efforts now, we really wouldn’t have all that much of a season.

As time goes on, we expect a few more surprises, but the series is going to have a really hard time matching some of the drama and power that they had with the end of the Peter Quinn storyline. The bar is set, and they just have to find a way in which to match it.
