The status of Jerome on Gotham season 4

Where is Jerome on Gotham season 4? We understand you watching tonight’s new episode and wondering that very question — especially with the cliffhanger that we got at the end of this past episode featuring him. It’s somewhat of a counter-intuitive move for Gotham to tease that character then and then not really share a whole lot of information when it comes to his story now.

What’s happening? Why is Fox waiting on Jerome? Ultimately, it really just comes down to how the writers are choosing to prioritize things at the moment. They already have a story that is put into place tonight that doesn’t include him. Nonetheless, you are going to get some opportunities to see him in action soon enough. Jerome and Arkham will be a cornerstone of the next new episode in one week’s time, and you can head over to the link here in the event you want some other news on what to expect there.

As for why Fox set up this cliffhanger only for them to not explore that tonight, it’s really about one thing: Trying to build up hype. If they didn’t put this cliffhanger at the end of the first part of the season, there wouldn’t have been a reason to get people talking about the story that is coming up. (Granted, we think that they could’ve achieved something similar with a big cliffhanger related to Poison Ivy, but sometimes you just have to be happy with what you have.)

Ultimately, cliffhangers and other teases are going to eventually fall by the wayside for one simple reason: The story itself. If Jerome comes on board the show next week and is all sorts of awesome, we have a feeling that people are going to forget about almost everything else rather quickly.
