Gotham season 4 episode 13 preview: Penguin vs. Jerome

Are you ready for Gotham season 4 episode 13 to air on Fox? This is the episode that we actually think that most parties expected tonight given that this episode is going to mark the first appearance from Jerome in 2018. He was teased up at the end of the fall portion of season 4 and we haven’t had a chance to see him. Tonight, Gotham is focusing on a few other important things … but they’ll get back to Cameron Monaghan next week as he and Penguin meet up within Arkham Asylum and cause a lot of drama.

Ivy (guest star Peyton List) tracks a secret project on which Wayne Enterprises is working and begins to target anyone that can give her information. Meanwhile, Jerome (guest star Cameron Monaghan) becomes obsessed with Penguin in Arkham. Also, Gordon begins to second guess his deal with Sofia and an unsettling dream sequence shakes up Bruce in the all-new “A Dark Knight: A Beautiful Darkness” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, March 8 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. As for how long we’re going to see Jerome stick around this season, it’s hard to specifically pin down a number of episodes for this character. Monaghan typically appears in a few episodes and then moves on to some of his other gigs, including his full-time job on Shameless. We’re just going to be happy to see him for however long he is around. We do know that this season, one of the big focuses is going to be connecting the story of Jerome to that of the Joker — the two are not the same character, but are very much linked in some shape or form.

As for Ivy, consider this to be the episode where she really starts to rise to prominence. She’s probably going to be underestimated for a little while because of who she was, but this isn’t the same Ivy Pepper everyone remembers. This is a dark, dangerous iteration who is more powerful than almost anyone else in the city.
