Gotham season 4 episode 12 sneak peek: Lee, Nygma debate the Narrows’ future
In the new sneak peek below, you can see Edward Nygma specifically making some of his own thoughts clear when it comes to what to do with it: Just burn it to the ground and start anew. He’s certainly not the first comic-book villain to propose an idea this radical, but Lee Thompkins doesn’t seem altogether willing to go along with this idea. As a matter of fact, she simply is left to question why in the world she would want to do that. You can see that there is tension between the two, even if there is a certain element to their partnership that works. (Think for a minute about how far a cry this is from when Lee was working with the GCPD and Ed was starting to become unhinged.)

Seeing the direction of Lee from here is one of the parts of Gotham that currently intrigues us the most, if for no other reason than that she’s one of the more loosely-adapted characters from the comic books and there are a number of different things that the story could do with her. While we feel pretty confident that the Riddler, Penguin, Grundy, and others are going to survive until we get around to the days of Batman, the future for some other people like Lee and Barbara Kean is not entirely as clear.

We spoke yesterday with Alfred himself in Sean Pertwee — be sure to check back in the morning to read more of what he is going to have to say in regards to the upcoming batch of episodes.
