Once Upon A Time season 7: Jared Gilmore to return for final season
This episode will follow Regina and Henry before he left Storybrooke. This will pave the way for Gilmore to once again to take his place as young Henry. Meaning that the final half of the season will return to its roots and if only temporarily, we are very excited about it. In addition, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are also excited, check out what they had to say to Entertainment Weekly below:
“We’re very excited to have Jared back. He is, in a lot of ways, the heart and soul of this show. He grew up literally on the show, so it’s really wonderful to see him back. At the opening of the year, when we saw him get on the motorcycle, it was like a different Jared. We’re going to show an episode with him before that in Storybrooke with Regina.”
The story should clear up any questions longtime fans have had during the course of this final season. In addition, Horowitz mentioned the episode will be a “really sweet, emotional mother-son story.” Other than this, we know very little details about this episode, but as soon as we know more CarterMatt will be here to report it.
As far as the rest of the original cast, there is no confirmation of any of them returning. However, EPs Horowitz and Kitsis have an open invitation for them to return.
“Once is home everyone, so there’s an open invitation to every actor who has been on the show to come back in the finale.”
So while we’d like to see the original cast back for the final episodes, Horowitz states that they expect to have some announcements in the coming weeks. For now though, fans should be excited for what’s to come in the second half of this season, including ending with a bit of hope. So while fans may be reminded of the show they first started watching, it may not include your favorite characters, but will include the themes and ideas fans fell in love with.
