Bull season 2 casts Body of Proof alum Dana Delany as AUSA Banner
According to TVLine, Dana Delany of Body of Proof fame has been cast in this role, and should be featured rather prominently in the upcoming March 27 installment airing one month from tonight. She is smart, she is ruthless, and she’s not going to be someone who Bull is easy to read. Why is that? As executive producer Glenn Gordon Caron tells the website, she is going to work very hard to stop someone who, at least in some way, is really just trying to help other people in need:
“Bull comes up against AUSA Banner, a federal prosecutor who is bound and determined to imprison a young mother/physician who illegally purchases thousands of vials of marijuana-derived CBD oil to treat her patients in Virginia, where the oil is illegal … Her tenacity and seeming heartlessness baffles Bull.”
Beyond just Bull getting another rival, which is certainly very much appreciated, this does seem to be very much the perfect cast. Delany is someone who should already be familiar to many viewers within the show’s target demographic, and with that also serves as a reminder of how silly ABC was for canceling Body of Proof in the first place. Ever since that series ended they’ve really struggled to find another series that can perform all that well within the Tuesday timeslot at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.

No matter what Bull does when it comes to ending this episode featuring Delany, one thing we will continue to hope is that there are opportunities to use this character again in the future. One of the best things in regards to Bull is how the series is slowly building out this stable of excellent guest stars who they can come back to in the future and play around with. Delany is the sort of performer you would certainly want back however often that you can.
