Lucifer season 3 episode 16 preview: A plan to help Cain

When Lucifer season 3 episode 16 airs on Fox, we’re going to get a chance to see a new plan hatched when it comes to the central story at the heart of this season: Lucifer doing everything that he can in order to help Cain! This is the man who cannot die, and we have a feeling that our title devil knows that there’s little good that comes from having Cain around. He’s probably eager to get rid of him and there could absolutely be some opportunities to do that coming up.

So what’s coming up on Lucifer season 3 episode 16? Rest assured that we’ve got some more insight now on that subject! Just take a look, via Fox, at some official details:

When a murder investigation reveals the dark side of Hollywood, Chloe puts her life on the line to protect an innocent victim. Then, Lucifer comes up with a hell-raising scheme to help Cain, but when Amenadiel and Maze get involved, things don’t quite go as planned in the all-new “Infernal Guinea Pig” episode of LUCIFER airing Monday, March 5 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. One of the things that you should know already is that a key cog of Lucifer’s plan is going to be bringing Abel into the mix! As reported over the weekend, actress and comedian Lauren Lapkus is going to be appearing in the episode as a twisted version of the character — basically, she is a woman named Bree who finds herself possessed by the character. This allows Cain to realize that Abel is in Hell and maybe he’s had their entire history wrong all of this time. Rest assured when we say that this story sounds fascinating and we can only hope that it lives up to some of the ideas that we’ve got bouncing around in our head.

Now that we are bringing Abel into the mix we certainly think that Lucifer season 3 is only going to get more interesting from here. How could it not be? You’re expanding the mythology and at the same time creating some new avenues for drama. There’s a very good chance, after all, that this whole plan backfires to such an extent that it starts a war. We don’t exactly for see the rest of the season having Lucifer and Cain on the same page.
