The Resident character spotlight: What should be next for Conrad Hawkins?
So, for the reminder of Season 1, here’s what we’d like to see for the character.
Continue to push back – We love that Conrad confronts Dr. Bell for his outright endangering of patients because of his tremor. We’ve seen numerous times when Dr. Bell’s in surgery and his tremor endangers the patient because he makes a mistake and then is forced to make lie about it. However, Conrad sees right through this and we want to see more of this. Dr. Bell is the antagonist of the series and to see Conrad so clearly get under his skin is great to see and we want to see it escalate. We want to see the tension between them get more intense as they both fight against each other. Dr. Bell fights to remain the top doctor while Conrad fights for the health of his patients.
Conrad and Nic – It’s very clear that Conrad still has feelings for Nic, while she is more of a mystery. This is what we love about this relationship. We know they once were a couple, but we have no idea what happened between them. Did they grow apart? Did one of them cheat on the other? These are questions we have about them and we are hoping to get a few answers this season. In addition, we like to see them continue on their journey back to each other. We know this won’t happen immediately and we don’t want it to, but we want to see the in-between. The time between them breaking up and getting back together is often times the most exciting part for fans, because it’s where we imagine how it will go down and where we cheer them on.
His past – We’ve picked up that Conrad has a military past and we want to know more about this. It’s only Season 1 so we have plenty of time to explore it; there’s gotta be something that we need to know this season that will explain his behavior and actions. This is something we look forward to.
Overall, we love Fox’s new series, The Resident and we’re excited to see what comes next. It returns February 26th at 9 p.m. For more news related to The Resident, be sure to visit this link.
