Celebrity Big Brother episode 8 review: Omarosa’s play; Brandi vote nonsense

Celebrity Big Brother episode 8 spent a lot of time dealing with one simple move, and one that we really didn’t think was all that controversial: Brandi Glanville casting a rogue vote. Everyone complained about it the moment she admitted it, which is probably one of the worst moves that she’s made the entire game. Had she kept this a secret she could have generated SO much paranoia and that would have been such better entertainment.

For most of this episode, we saw a lot of complaining about Brandi and/or discussions about Brandi, which led into the main alliance of Brandi, Ariadna Gutierrez, Ross Mathews, and Marissa Jaret Winokur starting to fall apart. Brandi was thrown under the bus pretty hard by some of her alliance members to the new Head of Household in Omarosa. (Surprisingly, she’s handling the power rather well.)

While we do think she should’ve nominated two people from a single pair like Ross and Marissa, Brandi and Ross is an interesting choice in its own right. We imagine that it really doesn’t matter all that much in the end, though, mostly because of the Veto twist that is going to come in and mess things up.

Also, this episode featured James Maslow mentioning about three billion times that he’s so shocked to be working with Omarosa, as though this is somehow the strangest thing the world to work with someone in order to win a lot of money. It doesn’t really matter if she’s politically opposed to you! Anyhow, this was a weird sequence in what was really a pretty weird episode. (We will say this — Omarosa’s depictions of Metta World Piece in the Diary Room were both pretty perfect and also fairly accurate of what we’ve actually seen from him so far.)

For the record, our of Metta remains strong, but we really wish someone in production would quit it with the stupid basketball-themed Diary Rooms.

Daily Omarosa political update

Apparently, working on the campaign was exhausting. Who would’ve thought? Also, she threw some shade at Ready for Hillary, a coalition that came prior to her official campaign. What happened there motivated her more to work with Donald Trump.
