Week in CarterMatt: Highlighting new NCIS: Los Angeles, Absentia series; Olympics and more

Week in CarterMatt

Welcome to the second edition of our new Week in CarterMatt series! Every Saturday, we post a new video on our official YouTube channel reflecting on the past seven days in entertainment. This leads, in turn, to being able to share a new article on the subject every Sunday.

There are a few highlights of this new video below, so let’s run through those quickly to give you a little bit of advance insight.

NCIS: Los Angeles character spotlights – Over the course of this past week, we’ve written a series of articles taking a look at all of the various characters on the hit CBS show, while also asking some important questions in terms of what could happen to them moving forward both in terms of the remainder of this season and beyond. You can find out a little bit more information on that subject by heading over to the link here.

Absentia character spotlights – While these are set to be a little bit more infrequent, we will also be posting every few days new looks at where the Sony TV series (check out local listings for where the show airs) could take some various characters moving into season 2. As you can see over at the link here, to date we have cast the spotlight firmly on such people as Emily Byrne and also Alice Durand.

What’s with all of the Olympic hiatuses? – Are they really needed in 2018? While we love the Games and support the athletes, there aren’t altogether too many people anymore who sit around and watch every single highlight of the Games as they happen in primetime. Often, viewers tend to watch for a sport or two and that’s it.

Celebrity Big Brother vs. Bachelor Winter Games – Which show is the better Olympics counter-programming? We think that we come up with a pretty clear answer to the debate.
