Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 13 return date for Ellen Pompeo series
As we lead into that, though, here’s a quick reminder of the bad news — there isn’t going to be a new episode coming up next week or the week after. Due to the Winter Olympics, there is no immediate hurry for ABC to schedule new episodes. Why would they want to? For starters, it would hurt the ratings; beyond that, there is no immediate hurry to program new episodes when the executives over at the network clearly know that they still have plenty of time left this season. Grey’s Anatomy can still do its 24-episode season even if it doesn’t air for much of the next month.
This brings us back now to our original point in that the next new Grey’s Anatomy episode is not coming on the air until we roll around to Thursday, March 1 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. That is a long wait, but also consider this: Because of how many weeks there are left in the season proportional to the number of episodes that are left for the show, we are basically now in a position where you’re going to get a chance to check out new installments every week from March 1 until the finale. Maybe there’ll be a tiny hiatus in there, but it wouldn’t be all that much of anything.
Also, remember on the other side of the hiatus that the Grey’s Anatomy crossover with the Station 19 firefighter series is coming. As a matter of fact, you are going to see that not all that long after when the show returns. By the time the series does come back we do wonder if there is a good chance to have a season 15 renewal in the books. We don’t exactly think that there is any drama surrounding it, but another season would nonetheless still be nice to have. The biggest hurdle in bringing the series back is already cleared, given that Pompeo recently signed a massive deal that offers up job security while also allowing her to make much of the money she deserves on the strength of the series.
