Gotham season 4 sneak peek coming February 3; more details!
Tonight at 11:55 p.m. Eastern time, the aforementioned network is going to bust out a new extended sneak preview of some of what is coming for the rest of the season, whether it be the new version of Poison Ivy, the return of Jerome, and prominent storylines for Nygma, Lee Thompkins, and the Sirens.
Take a look at the press release below for some additional details:
Get a first look at what’s to come on GOTHAM’s spring return as Jim Gordon navigates his new role of Captain, fighting against the most depraved and unhinged villains, including a reborn Ivy (guest star Peyton List), who is targeting anyone involved in the latest Wayne Enterprises project. Bruce Wayne continues on his spiral without the guidance of Alfred, who is out on his own in Gotham after being fired. Penguin becomes Jerome’s (guest star Cameron Monaghan) latest obsession after they meet in Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Lee Thompkins begins to try to rebuild the Narrows, working with Ed Nygma, and The Sirens try to amplify their business.
At the moment we have to say that what intrigues us the most about the upcoming episodes is getting a chance to see a little more of a separate Alfred Pennyworth. For so much of both this series and the Batman comics as a whole, this is a character who has spent the bulk of his time directly tied to Bruce Wayne. It’s a very different experience now to suddenly seem him separated from that, forced to forge more of his own identity and show off a different side to viewers. That is a super-exciting proposition.

Beyond this, what is exciting about this preview is mostly happening to begin with. The fact that Fox is randomly taking out time during some of their schedule to further highlight Gotham shows to us that there does remain a vested interest in promoting the series. That bodes well for the show’s future beyond this season. Remember for a moment here that there is no season 5 renewal as of yet and with some of the ratings being what they are, there has been a reasonably-tangible reason to worry. The recent acquisition of NFL football on FOX Thursday nights is another.
