Shameless season 8 finale preview: Is Ian going to prison?
Based on what’s being teased at the moment for this episode, signs do point towards Ian having to face a future behind bars as a result of his recent actions — this is a guy who was confronted with a sort of fame and influence that he had never really encountered before, and with that was not necessarily all that prepared in order to deal with. We sympathize with him in that sense just because he didn’t expect his persona to become something bigger than what it was.
Ian’s story is compelling, and we’re fearful that he could be at the center of this season’s big cliffhanger — there are, after all, many big stories that Shameless does still need to tie together in some way.

While we know that Lip, Debbie, and others do have some big decisions to make in this upcoming episode, as well, the other focal point of the episode that intrigues us the most at the moment is the status of Fiona. She’s been fighting with her tenants for weeks now and we could be nearing the end of the battle … potentially. The problem is that in the event she wants to stop the stalemale, she will have to give them $3 million — and her dog. Basically, the reason why Fiona could choose to go full Gallagher on these people is because their demands are ridiculous and there’s no way in which anyone could live up to them.
All in all, this should prove to be a fun, albeit crazy way to wrap up this season.
