Chicago Fire season 6 episode 10 video: Severide leads the way
For starters, we are going to see the character out in the field doing more of what he does best: Trying to stop fires. The sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below features Severide out fighting what is a very dangerous chemical fire — it’s one thing if someone has a faulty Crock-Pot (too soon?) that caught their house on fire; it’s another thing altogether if there are deadly chemicals that could ignite an entire block.
The thumbnail image below, which clearly shows Kelly concerned, should be enough to send a chill down your spine.
As for what else is coming up for Kelly in this episode, we’ve already told you a little bit about the arrival of Gary Cole as a Chief and longtime family friend who could be coming to him with a big opportunity. What this effectively means is that Kelly could have an offer, provided that he wants it, to leave Firehouse 51 to do something new and exciting. If this is a new position at another Firehouse that’s a little higher on the food chain, we would understand why he would consider it. After all, Casey just got a promotion and there may not be all that much in the way of growth options for him at Firehouse 51. Elsewhere, his skills may enable him to make more money.
Yet, on the flip side of this Kelly leaving would mean that he would not be anywhere near some of his old friends and his life would change dramatically. He probably realizes on some level that this could be something that he has to face eventually, but he may not be there just yet. He probably would like to have a little bit more of a stable home life first, given right now his co-workers and his relationship with roommate Stella are pretty much all he has.
