Criminal Minds season 13 episode 14 preview: ‘Miasma’ and mass graves

Criminal Minds season 13 episode 14

What’s coming up on Criminal Minds season 13 episode 14? The title here is “Miasma,” and what that is a reference to in the end is something rather pungent. Basically, the smell of death that is coming via an open grave. That’s at least the way we view the foundation for this upcoming episode.

The Criminal Minds season 13 episode 14 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up a little bit more insight as to what’s coming in this installment, which could end up being one of the most interesting ones when it comes to stakes and true loss of life:

“Miasma” – The BAU is called when the New Orleans P.D. discovers a mass grave inside a vandalized above-ground crypt in a local cemetery, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Jan. 31 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

“Miasma” is going to be important when it comes to sharing an interesting case, but it could also set the tone for a little while as CBS heads in a different direction for much of the month of February. They’ve got Big Brother: Celebrity Edition coming as a fill-in during the upcoming Winter Olympics, and they are going to be spending a ton of time focusing on that (understandably so). There are also still enough episodes of Criminal Minds to come that CBS can air a pretty lengthy run of them in March and April and wrap things up in time to start up Code Black in May.

The only other thing that we can say about Criminal Minds season 13 episode 14 right now is that this installment is going to continue the arc of Kim Rhodes, who appeared tonight and appeared even before that on Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. If we’re extremely lucky, there could also be an opportunity to see more of her down the road when it comes to Wayward Sisters, provided that the Supernatural spin-off gets off the ground.
