Arrow season 6 episode 11: Stephen Amell hypes big Emily Bett Rickards episode
In a post on Twitter Monday, series star Stephen Amell confirmed that this upcoming episode entitled “We Fall” is one of the best episodes for Emily to date. Why is that? There must obviously be some great material for her in the hour, but there aren’t many clues from the episode’s synopsis as to what that would be. We know that Cayden James will take center stage for much of the hour, and his actions could in turn lead to William being in danger. Will it be some of Felicity’s own heroics that help to get him back?
What we’ve wanted to see for Rickards as an actor on this show is an opportunity to see her play even more of Felicity’s vulnerable side and play a raw, emotional, and even angry version of the character bent on getting vengeance. What any actor should want is a chance to push their character to the limits and do something that is completely different from anything that they have done before. Felicity is a memorable character even on a normal episode of Arrow, so we are certainly curious as to what things look like when the story is taken up another notch.
Beyond just this great Felicity episode, what we’d like to see as a whole this season are a series of individual episodes that give all of the cast members opportunities to shine. David Ramsey has had some great moments this season already with some of Diggle’s health struggles; moving forward, it would be great in order to see an installment that puts Willa Holland in the spotlight (she’s been gone so much as of late) or to put the spotlight on Oliver as a father again. With so many villains and so many different characters in general, this season of Arrow has probably more flexibility than almost any that has come beforehand.
Arrow season 6 episode 11 airs on The CW Thursday night.
