Shadowhunters season 3 opening title sequence arrives
Today, we can share with you below the official opening titles for the Freeform series, which feature Katherine McNamara, Matthew Daddario, and the majority of the rest of the cast. There are a couple of new additions here, but by and large this is the same sort of opening sequence that we’ve had in the past. Most networks don’t like to do a whole lot to change their title sequence after creating it, largely because that involves them putting additional money into something that really doesn’t matter all that much when it comes to the ratings.
We’ve always thought that Shadowhunters had a decent opening title sequence, if lacking for a couple of different things. For starters, we wish that they would do a little bit more to emphasize the actor names, and show a little more of their actual faces rather than focusing on some other familiar elements of the series. Still, we understand to a certain extent why some actors don’t get a whole lot of time in the spotlight. There are just so many people in the cast and the logic seems to be here to devote the majority of the time on the series to the story rather than the opening title. We get that, since that extra 15-20 seconds per episode can go a long way.

The Shadowhunters season 3 opening title sequences is mostly just another great way to be psyched up about the return of the series to Freeform in March. Eventually, the network will probably release a little more when it comes to trailers / sneak peeks, but this is what we’ve got to watch for the time being. (Obviously, we wish it was more — this is roughly the same thing that we’ve seen in the past.)
