Blindspot season 3: What’s next for Jane, Weller after Avery reveal

It’s been easy to suspect on Blindspot season 3 for a rather long time now that Jane’s daughter Avery was still alive — now, all signs seem to be pointing towards that! At the end of Friday night’s new episode we figured out that Roman mostly manipulated the entire Avery situation to make Jane and Weller turn on one another. Meanwhile, the promo for next week strongly suggests that Avery is still alive. They still have some work to do in order to figure out the truth, but it definitely does feel at the moment like the two characters are charting towards learning some very important information coming up in the near future.

So what happens once Jane does finally learn the truth about Avery’s apparent fate? Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly show executive producer Martin Gero had the following to say:

“I think Jane will be a little relieved … Her feelings and what actually happened play heavily in the next two episodes, so I don’t want to say too much. Jane wants to forgive Weller, because she loves him and misses being close to him. Hopefully Patterson will find out some more information to pave the way for that.”

We imagine that there are going to be be some more big reveals to come with Jane, Avery, and Weller, so we’re not so sure that anything is going to be smooth sailing even when Avery is found. There is a lot of baggage from the past, and even aside from Avery Jane and Weller may have some other issues that they need to work through. For a little more information on that subject, you don’t have to look any further than what is going on with Jane and Clem. That is a story that is far from over and we imagine more news will be coming out about the two of them in the next couple of weeks.
