MC Lyte guest stars on S.W.A.T., Stunning Fast and Furious action draws fans to TV show
S.W.A.T. is offering a familiar face to viewers on Thursday night. The CBS TV show is going to catch some viewers by surprise as the guest star is iconic rapper MC Lyte. Yes, that’s right – MC Lyte is kicking it with the S.W.A.T. team. If you are scratching your head wondering who this is famous rapper, then you might be a little too young to remember this music icon.
MC Lyte is a well-known an American rapper who first gained fame in the late 1980s. The celebrity was the first solo female rapper to release a full album with her 1988 Lyte as a Rock. She was honored for her single “Ruffneck” too. She was nominated for a 1993 Grammy Award for Best Rap Single. This was a major moment in music as she was the first female solo rapper ever to be nominated for a Grammy.
Over the past ten years MC Lyte has been working on many different projects; plus, she got happily married. Her career had lead her around the world as she is an accomplished speaker too! Tonight, fans will get to see her in action as an old DEA friend of Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Shemar Moore) on S.W.A.T. and it’s downright delightful!
S.W.A.T. continues to impress viewers with action-packed sequences
If you’ve been watching all season, the high speed chases, the motorcycle getaways and even the wall climbing sequences has been insane. The fans of the TV show have come to expect to watch and then rewatch a few of the scenes. The call for additional episodes came in last year so viewers know the high octane action on this series won’t be slowing down anytime soon. The cast and crew are constantly doing their best to demonstrate what makes this show great.
With this in mind, I really hope there is some sort of recap showcasing all of these amazing stunts in the months ahead. It could be a flashback episode, a best of recap episode, or even just video clips to viewers can show the stunts to friends on social media. Not every TV show can bring on the speed and intensity every week.
S.W.A.T. viewers might think of the show as a mini The Fast and The Furious, full of pounding action on Thursday night with Hondo in charge. More TV viewers need to be tipped off that these crazy stunts and over the top action are off the chain. Frankly, the action packed sequences are so cool, I’ve kinda given up watching the high speed chases around Los Angeles as they don’t compare. Obviously, viewers would rather watch Hondo and his team kick butt as it’s hi-def action that offers up a climactic ending.
