Is Mekia Cox leaving Chicago Med, and role of Robin Charles
So is Mekia Cox leaving Chicago Med, and the role of Robin Charles behind? While you never want to say never for the future, she does seem gone for now. Cox is now a regular over on Once Upon a Time, and given that this show films in Vancouver, it’s hard to imagine her being able to do these two shows at the same time.
(There is an alternate universe out there where we like to consider that Robin Charles went off and became Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, much in the same way that we like to think that Tommy Merlyn went to Chicago and became a doctor on Chicago Med.)
For the time being, we do think that Chicago Med is missing out without having Robin on the show. She brought a real human element to something that many people go through, and that’s an emotional, painful process in which they try to get better. The unfortunate thing for the Robin character is that she felt like she was incapable of doing this so long as she was a patient at Chicago Med. The struggle for her was going to be far too difficult for her to endure.

What does this exit mean for Connor?
Well, it brings him back completely to square one. He doesn’t have this relationship anymore, and while we do think that he will eventually move forward, it’s going to be tough on him. He’s become very used to having her around and it’s going to be very much difficult having to let go of that for the time being.
Hopefully, we do end up seeing Connor find someone else just because of the fact that he brings a lot to the table for anyone he comes into contact with. He’s a guy who puts a lot of himself into others — maybe too much so, given that there are times when doing this does allow him to take focus from other things.
We’ll see how this story plays out over the weeks ahead.

I hope she is gone from Chicago Med for good! I never liked her at all! I thought she was too arrogant and full of herself before she got ill. Now she has gone from one far extreme to the next. I do not like her with Dr. Connor Rhodes! He is a good man and he deserves a Woman who is kind, compassionate, and classy! I did not feel like Robin and Dr. Rhodes were a good match at all and I would love to see him with someone who is as special as he is!
