Criminal Minds season 13 episode 10 promo: Start the new year out with fear!
This promo, in unsurprising fashion, doesn’t really give too much away other than two things.
1. The episode has a nautical theme … of sorts – It’s more about pool-related homicides than murder at the high seas, but given how it begins with pirate imagery it makes sense to wonder about that. There’s also the oh-so-creepy line of “do you believe in ghosts?” — for some reason, we do really think the ghostly motif works really well with this show. It dabbles in creepy subject matter better than almost any other show out there.
2. Lou Diamond Phillips guest stars – The Longmire alum is playing a Sheriff in this episode, which we love given that he was the Sheriff’s best friend on the aforementioned Netflix series. Here, Phillips is going to get a chance to be someone who could be in opposition to either the BAU or some other prominent characters in the story — after all, he passes along the message of “let the dead rest in peace.” Either he doesn’t really want anyone investigating what happened any more than they are, or he’s hiding something. Either way, this should be interesting. We know that Phillips is a seasoned actor and can take on anything – Criminal Minds is really lucky to have him and we couldn’t be happier about this casting!
Criminal Minds season 13 episode 10 is your foundation for whatever the show brings your way in 2018 — we hope that there are some more classic UnSubs, but beyond that we’d like to get some evolution for some of the main characters. There has been a whole lot of stagnation in that department as of late.
