Bull season 2 episode 12 books CJ Wilson of Homeland, The Sinner
Homeland and The Sinner alum CJ Wilson will be appearing in this upcoming January 9 episode as this aforementioned friend — for more details on the role, CarterMatt has the full Bull season 2 episode 12 synopsis below:
“Grey Areas” – Bull takes a psychologist friend, Dr. Donovan Benanti (C.J. Wilson), as a client when the therapist is sued for malpractice following a patient’s deadly rampage. As Bull worries a trial loss could set new precedent regarding doctor-patient confidentiality, he aims to convince the jury that clinicians aren’t directly responsible for their patients’ actions, on BULL, Tuesday, Jan. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The first thing we think of, admittedly, when we hear the name CJ Wilson is whether or not he is frequently mistaken for the baseball player. Beyond that, he has a great resume and his story should prove to be one of the most interesting intellectual cases of the season. It poses a question that so many of us have wondered, whether it be in philosophy class or in a coffee-shop discussion that somehow took a bizarre left turn: Is it the right thing for a doctor to break an oath if it means contributing to the greater good? Is reducing pain for everyone a better outcome than risking pain upon yourself? Dr. Donovan Benanti clearly seems to think that the work he has done is the right sort of work both for himself and for the greater populace — unfortunately, the jury may not seem to view things that way. Bull has to weed out those who subscribe to the letter of the law; it’s either that or he can convince them that in this case, it really is the spirit of the law that matters more.
