Major Crimes season 6: How will show continue without Sharon Raydor?

Major Crimes season 6

For starters, never in a million years did CarterMatt think that we would be writing a Major Crimes article about how the show will continue on without Commander Sharon Raydor, but here we are with 4 episodes left of the final season and our fearless leader is gone.

According to press releases, we know that the first episode back will show the Major Crimes squad grieving the loss of their leader and friend. Lieutenant Andy Flynn, Rusty, Ricky, and Emily will also be shown in deep sadness as they say goodbye. Tony Denison (Flynn) even stated in his live Facebook chat that during these last few episodes you won’t see Andy as much as you usually do. He will be struggling being in the room with the knowledge that it’s where Sharon spent her last few moments.

Meanwhile, Philip Stroh has returned to Los Angeles, as he will be the focus of the last three episodes. All the summaries have been released for the final episode arc and the team will certainly have enough to distract them. With Stroh back the team must discover a connection between Stroh and a Mr. and Ms. Bechtal. These people could be foster parents, relatives, etc. While we don’t know exactly who they are, they obviously mean something to Stroh and the team will spend much of their time trying to find them. Could Stroh have stolen their identity? This is possible too and would explain why the team won’t come face-to-face with him until Part 4. Overall, we know Stroh won’t make it easy for the squad especially since this is the final battle and we are both interested and curious as to how this will all end.

While we wish Sharon could have been the one who ultimately puts an end to the man who has been after her son, we know that Andy promised Sharon he would look after her children. Knowing this, we hope that despite being heartbroken, that Andy will be the one who carries out Sharon’s final wish. It could be the satisfying and a fitting conclusion that James Duff talked about, but fans on social media are deeply upset about the shocking death.

In the end, we encourage fans to continue watching the final 4 episodes because the rest of the cast and crew has worked hard. However, we know many of you are still upset so we also completely understand if last Tuesday was your final episode.
