Empire season 4 episode 10 return date hopes for Terrence Howard, cast

Want to know the Empire season 4 episode 10 return date on Fox — or at least some speculation as to when it could be?

Obviously, the bad news that we have to report at present is that you’re going to be waiting for a little while to see Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, and the rest of the cast back on the air. In the new year, Fox is opting for a schedule that includes the revival of The X-Files and the new Ryan Murphy drama 9-1-1 on Wednesday nights. These shows will likely air through the Winter Olympics, mostly so that it enables Empire and its companion series STAR to come back at a reasonable time in the spring.

Based on the episode count for The X-Files, coupled with when the David Duchovny / Gillian Anderson series is returning on Wednesday, January 3, as of right now we’d project a mid-to-late-March return date for Empire season 4. That gives the series time to wrap up its remaining episodes before getting into the summer, and it will be able to air all of them without, potentially, a commercial interruption wedged into the middle. Hopefully, this is also going to give some fans a chance to catch up if they are behind.

We like to use some of these return-date articles to project a future for some shows, and with Empire it does feel very much clear that the future is bright. There’s no official season 5 renewal, but there’s no reason to doubt that it’s coming at some point in the new year. It’s an enormously-popular show and, while the ratings are down by a big margin year-to-year, it does have a devoted audience. It just needs to find a way to stabilize things and that’s tough when you are a heavily serialized show that lives and dies by some of the big twists. You have to just create some that are both compelling and logical, often a difficult combination.

Fox should announce the Empire renewal, provided something crazy doesn’t go down, within the first few months of the year.
