Designated Survivor season 2 winter finale: Prepare for big changes
So what exactly is going to happen, and how will it come about? We know that Alex Kirkman looks to be at the center of some stories, and here is what executive producer Keith Eisner was willing to say in a new interview with TV Guide:
“The nature of our West Wing family will change after this episode, or the structure of it. There’s a shattering and unexpected development that people won’t see coming, and it will affect the lives of the people in the White House, and beyond that, I don’t know how specific I want to get.”
So yeah … be worried about some of your favorite characters. This is a show that needs to shake things up and seems to want to shake things up. While we’d argue that the second half of season 2 is stronger than season 1, there are a few issues that need to be addressed still including just how many storylines are going on within a single episode. You’ve got some strong central characters and it wouldn’t hurt to simplify things. We say that especially with the knowledge of how much source material there is for the writers and producers to pull from. Just think about everything that is happening in the world today!
After the finale Designated Survivor looks to return following the conclusion of the Winter Olympics. We’ll have a little bit more news on that later tonight.
