Gotham – Arrow crossover: Who’s open to the idea?
So while the idea of this meeting-of-the-minds doesn’t seem as though it’s going to be happening, that doesn’t mean that we have to stop thinking about the idea! During a panel at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest on Sunday Echo Kellum, who plays Curtis Holt on Arrow, had the following to say (per ComicBook.com) regarding his interest in the idea:
“But like, yeah like Superman coming in on Supergirl, it really is amazing the array of characters that have been able to be involved in, you know, the DCTV universe or whatnot and I would love to see us even, you know, mess around with Gotham and you know all these properties that are under Warner Bros, it would be really cool.”
Personally, the best thing that we can really hope for is some more nods to Batman in some shape or form during Arrow and some other shows. In Arrow’s timeline it seems as though Bruce Wayne is an adult given the reference to him earlier in the season; therefore, if Gotham ever did join the Arrow-verse it’d probably have to be set in a different Earth altogether. We think it’s more likely that at some point down the road we’ll just get more references and, (in the event one of the CW shows lasts longer than Gotham does) maybe a couple of supporting characters. With Batman being used heavily by DC’s film division it’s hard to imagine ever seeing the Dark Knight in the flesh on The CW … cool as it would be.
