MacGyver season 2 episode 10 preview: Who does Jack kidnap?

MacGyver season 2 episode 10 is coming your way on CBS in one week’s time, and all signs point to this one being crazy. It’s also in some ways a direct continuation of the two episodes that have come before. The show’s almost venturing into serialized territory with some of these recent plots and we appreciate that — it gives us a chance to get to know some of these characters better.

CarterMatt has the MacGyver season 2 episode 10 synopsis below, and it gives you more of a sense regarding what’s coming up:

“War Room + Ship” – When 32 college students are stranded on a research ship in the Arctic Ocean with no heat and erupting fires, Mac develops an emotional connection to the group leader, via video chat, as he relays how to stay alive as they await a rescue ship. Also, Jack kidnaps Elwood to find out what scam he’s up to next, and Bozer’s feelings toward Leanna grow stronger, on MACGYVER, Friday, Dec. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Obviously, the part of the story that is the most intriguing is all about Jack kidnapping Elwood, otherwise known as the one person who makes his skin crawl more so than almost anyone else. He doesn’t trust Riley’s biological father, and the more that this season goes along and this guy sticks around, the more that Jack will react to him. (Obviously, tonight’s episode showed there’s more going on than it seemed at first.)

As for the rest of the episode, we have to ask: Is it nice that Bozer is starting to fall for someone, especially when it’s someone in Leanna who could actually develop some feelings back? We absolutely think so given that he’s a character very much worthy of love and shouldn’t just be the comic relief on the team. This doesn’t mean that we will refrain from rooting for Bozer and Riley to be together, though — that’s probably still going to be a thing for a rather long time.

As for the MacGyver storyline we’re excited about it; there’s just no real buildup to it at the moment. What we want are answers regarding his history with Matty after that big reveal tonight!
