Is Jane’s daughter real on Blindspot season 3? Here’s your answer

Blindspot season 3 recently unveiled one of the biggest shockers in the show’s history to date: Jane’s daughter. It was a secret buried far in her past, but because she has no memory of what happened it makes sense for her to ponder over one question: Is it real? Does she really have a daughter or is something else at play here?

The sneak peek below, (via Entertainment Weekly), does a good job of resolving this loose end for you. Patterson has taken some time analyzing the birth records and some of the other data that she’s found; as a result of that, she has found that all of the information aligns perfectly and despite whatever she may think, it does absolutely seem as though Jane’s daughter is legitimate. It’s hard to get information buried 18 years in the past, but there is almost zero reason to doubt what’s out there. The signatures of the obstetrician line up with everything else she’s done over the years — unfortunately, she’s now dead and the FBI cannot bring her in for questioning.

At the end of this sneak peek Jane finds herself in a position where she’s left scrambling and wants answers — immediately. Having a daughter that you never knew about has to be a lot to take in, but Jane doesn’t handle surprise the same way as other people. She’s been through so much already and seems far more keen to put her boots to the ground and get answers that way than sitting around waiting for them. She also realizes that it’s very hard to trust almost anyone other than herself. Hopefully, this episodes does give her a little bit of information — though there will probably still be questions that linger. We’ve figured out at this point that this is not the sort of show that will tie up something this big so early in the season. They’ll let it simmer a while longer before burning the whole place down.
